Joe Boyett of Riverside, CA wrote the following in a letter to editor, and I found it interesting enough to share in order to secure from you folks your opinions as to whether Mr. Boyett is unto something, or just out in space.
The words “We the People of the United States” and “government of the people, by the people, for the people” have different meanings in 2013 when the “people” in the United States are divided and polarized over declarations of unalienable rights and claims of entitlement.
From Plato through James Madison to the present, philosophers have warned that the greatest threat to democracy is mob rule, where a simple majority of Pauls vote into power leaders who will rob a productive minority of Peters to pay Pauls.
Banker Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild said, “Give me control of a nation’s money, and I care not who makes its laws.” He, though, underestimated the importance of making laws.
Give me control of a democracy’s welfare programs and I’ll use mob rule to make laws, and together with whoever controls the nation’s money, we will rule like god or the antichrist.
