Has the Curiosity rover discovered life on Mars?

Fascinating article. Could be. There is nothing in Scripture to prevent life from existing on other planets throughout the universe.
The article is a non-article. It says nothing except they've got an upcoming announcement.
That said, given NASA's current proclivity to making broad claims based on faulty scientific empiricist ideology, I don't doubt they're happy to make a dramatic claim based on little or no actual evidence.
I've said it before around here, I don't doubt life exists elsewhere in our universe. Given its size, age, and diversity we can't deny this possibility. Now whether that life is intelligent or reachable are two different issues.

I am going to guess about 20 billion a year. Back in th 60s, the space program was producing much technology, jobs and advancement. From the time we started until 1969, about 7 years, we were on the moon. At that point, the program stalled. We should have been on Mars decades ago. It is time to shut it down. If private enterprise wants to continue, that is fine. In all fairness though, much of our technology for computers, cell phones, GPS, etc, was helped along by the space program.
As far as the discovery of life elsewhere in the universe, although I think it is possible, it is not a project for the US taxpayer to figure out.

It has been suggested that during the 90's NASA sent missions to mars that crashed capsules containing roaches. They would come back years later with several robotic missions to discover if the roaches survived not only the crash but also the harsh Martian atmosphere. For those that do not know, Mars has no radiation belts like Earth does. These belts protect Earth from deadly radiation from the sun and other cosmic sources. Nothing can stop this radiation but these belts. No amount of lead can shield life from its instant purification. There is no possible way Mars could have ever had life. I know of only 3 planets that have these belts, Earth, Venus and Jupiter.
Now if these "supposed" roaches have survived, how will they announce finding them? Will it be announced as life has been found on Mars or will they actually explain their missions of the 90's as an attempt to see if life can survive the harsh conditions on Mars?
