Some perceptive readers commented that the article was rather nonsensical, as it cites the Church but attacks individual Christians. Not knowing the difference causes great confusion.

Yes, that is true of most conservative churches, but not of most liberal ones. You may find as I have that they tend to substitute politics, e.g., "Social Justice," for the Gospel of Christ.
