I'm hesitant to make that claim 100%, but I'll just give your my experience.
A long time ago, I was flipping channels and passed by MTV. There was a famous persona performing who is well-known for his stance on disbelief in God and ripping up the Bible. I didn't know about any of that until after the fact. At the time, all I knew was this is who "the kids" are into.
I had really never seen him before. I was curious.
I could not watch more than 20 seconds of it. It wasn't his mode of dress - although it was sick and vile.
It wasn't his prancing around - although that was offensive. It wasn't his hair and make-up that was intended to make him look horrifying on purpose.
It was his voice. His growling voice. It terrified me. Literally. I could not watch another second.

I had an experience not long ago myself coming through a member of the church we were affiliated with. Too many details leading up to the experience to provide here but it was absolutely beyond belief. Nothing from Hollywood even begins to portray the evil image that I witnessed. I physically felt the evil. ...the next day the pastor called me and delivered a verbal reprimand for upsetting this guy.
My pastor stated that he was involved in a demonic possession case, and that all that he would state was that it was very intense, and hoped never to face anything like that ever again!
I am also sure that we see sometimes those people being used as Tools by satan, such as those captured in alternate litysyles, who flaunt it for all to see, and those like in Isis!
What'd you do to set him off?
I requested the church specifically detail our position on SAME SEX MARRIAGE (I know, I know..., human sexuality so this will probably be BANNED) in our statement of faith so as to protect us from a potential lawsuit should the need ever arise.
...I was accused of being a FEAR MONGER and otherwise upsetting the peace and harmony of the church in that a couple of the prominent members have children that are quite 'light on their feet' and besides, clown boy told me the church could NOT be sued and God would protect them.
Come to find out the church has no Statement of Faith to begin with!

Multiple times.
Usually it was directed right at me...and the first 3-4 times or so it sent a chill up my spine and my knees went weak. I was under spiritual attack some years ago and my enemy threw everything he could throw to break my spirit. People would look at me in an eerie way at work ( when nobody else was around ) and tell me things nobody could possibly know about...at least nobody who was of the flesh.
One guy put his head down and looked up at me with an evil glare while we were alone in the hallway, and asked me in a low voice, "But how do you KNOW you're saved?"...to which I answered nervously, "Because I have faith". That was the first one and the worst one, because my knees almost knocked together in fear.
I was reminded of this verse:
" Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: " ( Ephesians 2:2 )
The next few times I got a bit of a "lump-in-the-throat" feeling, and the last few times I had become used to it to the point that I met the stare and knew with confidence that he had no power over me.The Lord is with me and I am grateful and sure of His love for me, so they don't bother me much in that direction any more. Now my enemy only uses people to hit my "hot buttons" and get me off kilter emotionally.
But back then my faith was being tried in a different way, and I got the feeling later that I was being sifted as wheat ( Luke 22:31 )

Dave Gilbert..., when it happened to me, like you..., it scared me to death! As such, I felt it necessary to leave the room and the second I got up to leave the image went away at which time a peace came over me. The fear just went away. It was quite an experience to say the least.

Many times when we discuss Jesus with cult members, they are demoincally oppressed and blinded!
