I’ve been pretty much staying at home out of harm’s way, as I am retired. I am not aware of my ever being exposed to anyone who has COVID-19. My county has probably been averaging active cases around 40-60 out of a population of 39,000 for several months.

So, no, I have not been tested for COVID-19 as there has been no reason to.

I assume that I have been, since when I donate blood they "SAY" that they DO test for this bug!
Haven't heard a word, so -- either I'm clear, they really did not test, OR, they are extremely slow to respond.

If not for this, NO, I would not volunteer for a test.

Yes, given the recovery rate of those under 70 is more than 90% and over 70 is over 96% I have little concern should I get it or not.

I tested positive in early October after my wife tested positive. She was sick with coughing and fever. When I brought her favorite Pizza Hut pizza to her and she said that it didn't taste very good, I felt then that she needed testing. She got worse before getting better but required no hospitalization. Sneezing and runny nose is all that I had and it was over in a couple of days after I was tested.

When I hear that COVID infections are on the rise, three thoughts come to mind - "So What?" "Whoop De Doo", and "Well, what's new?" It is easier to catch than the flu, but not as deadly. I was glad that my wife didn't go to the hospital. It seems that most COVID patients die in hospitals.

Have not been tested. Have no intention of getting tested. Have no intention of getting a vaccine either. If I am really sick, I might get tested but what good would that do? All they do is treat the symptoms and the symptoms are the same as 15,000 other diseases.

The VA required me to be tested with the one hour test and be found negative, which I was, before they would do an emergency extraction of an abscessed tooth.

As an Over the Road trucker, that never shutdown, and runs most of the country. I'm sure I've been exposed. But my plan of action for the virus is the same as driving thousands of miles a week on America's dangerous highways. I just place myself in God's able hands and do what must be done.

My appologies here because because this statement came off sounding arrogant. We had prayers going out for us from church members and Baptist Board members. If you catch the COVID virus, let someone know who will pray for you. The thing can be deadly so don't take it lightly.

I just don't want to have businesses and churches shut down with people losing their livelyhoods over something like COVID.

Once, tested positive after a training class. Everyone in the class tested positive.

County health dept called for contact tracing. Then, County health dept called again the next day for contract tracing. Said they had no record of the previous contact. ??????

peace to you

I’ve been tested three times, each done routinely before a medical procedure.

My wife has been tested once as well, a few days before traveling north to visit grandkids.

Question for someone who actually knows:

Since I have tested positive and recovered, generally speaking because there are always exceptions, am I now immune?

Should I take a vaccine?

Information from one source - Henry Ford Health System. Of course, this is subject to change as more is learned.

"What if I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 in the past – do I still need the vaccine?

We are still gathering data on how long you are protected from antibodies if you had COVID-19 previously. At this time, if you have already tested positive for COVID-19 or had COVID-19, you do not need to get the vaccine."

I have been exposed repeatedly. I have been sick repeatedly. Before Covid, I did not have proper access to medical care, and now I have even less access to medical care. Positivity rates would be much higher if they were actually testing those of us getting exposed and getting sick. But that would work against the agendas of people with power.

Vaccine? LOL. Things are not even set up well enough to use us expendable people as guinea pigs. I don't see any vaccines in my future. And actually that is fine with me. I do not trust the vaccine. Over the years, and watching law suit after law suit, the medical neglect that I have suffered has protected me more than harmed me.

I could say more, but this is not the place for it. I have lived a very different life than many here. I formed my opinions while living THAT life. I don't expect to be agreed with or understood. I wouldn't even agree or understand me, if I hadn't lived my life.

Test: no
Vaccine: no

How about the long-term symptoms of those who recovered from Covid-19?
