I did help send a niece through Liberty University where she got a bachelors degree. She is a wonderful Christian lady now married and employed at Virginia Tech. Both her and her husband are also active church workers.

Jerry Falwell (August 11, 1933 – May 15, 2007) was alive back in those days. I used to like to listen into the fireside chats he would weekly have with the students.
This video did create controversy and did get put on the news. Well... Most of what Jerry Falwell did created controversy, but I liked the guy.
