Health Conscience Sayings:

This isn't exactly a health concious saying, but I always sort of chuckle when I read of the story of the woman who was healed by Jesus in Mark 5.

Verse 26 reads as follows:

"And [she] had suffered many things things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse"

In some ways it seems as if things haven't changed a whole lot in 2,000 years.

To stick to working out and getting in shape requires a backbone, not a wishbone.

You can't buy fitness. Like honor, it must be earned.

So true on so many levels...

I relish my body craving hunger because I worked it vigorously and subsequently I yearn to nourish it with food that would naturally spoil. ~ Benjamin :D

Found the flow of two previous thoughts to be interesting:

To stick to working out and getting in shape requires a backbone, not a wishbone, nor can you buy fitness. Like honor, it must be earned.

Always thinking, I am!

Variations are always welcomed, BTW.

You can become wealthy enough to retire from work but you'll never be healthy enough to retire from working out.

My reply to a common struggle:

Building up one’s physical endurance requires regularly training at stamina levels beyond what is normal and comfortable for you, this procedure is hard work and not compatible with the mental attitude that challenging the body is merely an offensive form of exercise.

...so it's not complicated to achieve this benefit, just a matter of knowing and remembering the truth while being willing to work for it.

Another saying I'm working on for instruction of a kinetic device invention I hope to get serious about marketing soon:

It isn't rocket science, it is self-discipline. It is whether or not one is willing to work for the quality of life they would like to live. Failure will be closely followed by excuses. Success will be a product of motivation being built upon through seeing the results of adopting good habits and taking joy in the effects.
