I have just now been diagnosed with low-grade chronic leukemia. This can be treated without chemotherapy or radiation and I have a team of oncologists to help me move forwards.

Please pray for God’s will to be done in my life.

Last Friday my wife found me in bed ranting unintelligibly when I was supposed to be getting ready to bring my band to Cowboy Troy’s up in Victor. So she brought me to the hospital ER where they found me with a temp of 104, and a heart rate of 137. I also had zero neutrophils and a very elevated lymphocytes, was anemic, and septic with a strep infection in my left leg. Nobody expected me to make it through last Friday but God had mercy. I have been on IV antibiotics for 9 days and my blood levels are getting better but I continue to fight a very painful leg infection. It’s very slow going. Every day I get an antibiotic drip and every day I soak through a set of clothes fighting this strep infection. Once they get this under control they will simply monitor my blood levels four or five times a year with no real treatment for the leukemia. Right now I wonder if I will be able to walk again but I remain positive and am working my legs out with stretchy bands and falling asleep to the history channel. My wife could use prayers of support and I continue to ask for prayers that God’s will be worked out through this.

Just got out of my second surgery where they installed a valve drain to empty an abscess in my left leg. Pretty painful procedure but I have to go through it. Good reports from the surgery. Pretty doped up right now. But Father God is good, and he has placed me in a way that I have very good people around me. I’ll keep you posted. Don’t forget to thank God today.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully you've turned a corner and that leg can start healing. Praying.

Thank you all.

Have made great gains in fighting my leg infection. Had to have some dead muscle and tissue removed so I got a funny looking skinny leg with a size 12 sticking out. Still going in for daily infusion of antibiotics. Apart from all that, no other news. I continue to pray for God’s will and my submission to it.
