That word is only used once in the NT. Bad translations based on contadicting John 1:9.

God the Son radiates glory. In scripture glory always refers to something good. There are aspects to "glory" such as the majesty of divine perfection and the various blessings that make up "the riches of His glory." Certainly among those "riches" are "eternal life.," "peace with God," "forgiveness of sins," which puts the "radiance" of His glory in a whole new light. And as "children of light" we are to let our light shine, enlightening others with the light of the gospel.

    John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

    John 12:36

“While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.

    Act 13:47
“For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES,
THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.'”

    Act 26:23
that the Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

    Romans 13:12
The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

    2Corithians 4:4

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Should say "should be the first that should rise from the dead,"

Thanks for the observation, I completely missed it. The vast majority of translations including the NKJV, the CSB, the ESV, the NET and NIV agree with you. However a few translate the verse differently, including the NASB, ASV, NHEB, DBT and the WEB, understand the verse to be saying because of His resurrection, He is the first to proclaim light both to the Jews and the Gentiles.
Some commentaries point out that "first" does not refer to sequence, others had risen before Him, but rather to His per-emminence.
