"There are many kinds of seduction. Spiritual warfare is hardball. And spiritual seduction is always a curveball. We can be sincere, pure, and wholely devoted to God and still be seduced by the serpent's cunning. NEVER turn your back on the enemy.
2 Corinthians 11:1-3 - "I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
Notice the Scripture talks about the Serpent getting to our hearts through our minds. The person decribed has wholehearted devotion to Christ, but the mind is still vulnerable.
Beloved, listen to me, carefully. Satan plays hardball. The psalmist testified about his foes and his powerful enemy with the word, "They confronted me in the day of my disaster" Psalm 18:18. Somehow we secretly hope that the devil, as low as he is, surely has enough scruples to draw the line where the fight would be totally unfair, but Satan has no such scruples. When we have a disaster, we can count on him being right there confronting us at our weakest, most vulnerable point.
"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." Ephesians 6:1
