</font>[/QUOTE]My guess would be that it is merely a question of semantics. Jesus was the Messiah. Historically, the only "last name" he had on earth was "son of Joseph." I don't see Yelsew denying that Jesus was the Chrsit - just that Christ wasn't his last name.

I never gave to him the last name of Christ, at the very least Yelsew was attempting to disregard what was said concerning Jesus Christ by pointing to something no one claimed.

To point this out at this date even is IMHO an attack upon the same usage of that in scripture.

For what mo is worth.

What about Paul's calling our Lord Christ Jesus
This is correct usage

When a person has a profession such as Doctor, we do not address that person as Mary Doctor unless Doctor is her legal name. We would however refer to her as Doctor Mary
