Hello Everybody, I'm Jack Hectorman

Its nice to be here with all of you and I thank you all for having me.

Just a little bit about myself: I am a conservative orthodox traditional Bible believing Christian and a family man. I've been blessed to have been married one time to one woman and we have several children and many grandchildren. Just celebrating everybody's birthday keeps us pretty busy .. ../grin .. but birthday celebrations are a lot of fun and they give us all a much needed opportunity to build a strong "sense of family" with our children and grandchildren [and in-laws too.] My wife says this is very important in these times in which we live especially for the grandchildren who need a strong family support group. I agree 100%. Also we have huge Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers.

Music.
I love Christian music and I also love classical and operatic stuff too. To my best knowledge I have everything Sarah Brightman and Andre' Bocelli have out on DVD. Andre' Bocelli has a magnificent DVD out titled Sacred Arias and on that DVD is the most emotionally stirring rendition of The Hallelujah Chorus I've ever heard.

I have most of the beautiful Russian soprano Anna Netrebko's operatic stuff on DVD and a lot of her music. I also greatly enjoy Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, and Angela Gheorghiu. I have also added Jackie Evancho's music to my collection.

Cheerful outlook on life:
I'd describe myself as an optimist. I'm optimistic about the future of America and about the Sovereign God's Christian Church in America. I believe the Lord's Christian Church will be successful in carrying our her Great Commission given to her by the Lord Christ, and I work toward than end, for example I support my local church and such Christian organizations as Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse. We Christians are over 2,000,000,000 strong worldwide right now, and from all I read Christianity is growing like wildfire in places like China, South America, and Africa. That's good news to my ears.

Bible verses.
I love them all, but especially the one's that emphasize the need for childlike faith in God. "Have faith in God."__Jesus (Mark 11:22

I greatly love and appreciate the entire New Testament [the O.T. too] and especially the book of Romans and the great doctrines of the Apostle Paul, for example Justification By Faith.

Cheers.

Welcome Jack, have enjoyed your posts on RO.
Would like to say that I agree to your idea of a non-debate forum as you presented there, so maybe it would work here though there are some that, as you noted, would push the limits.
But anyway, different pasture, so maybe different plants would prosper!!??

Thank you for the welcome InTheLight, I appreciate it.

Warning: It gets kind of contentious in here, especially in the Politics and Current Events sections. I don't even bother with the Calvinist vs. Free Will debates anymore. I figure God predestined me to be a non-Calvinist and that settles it.

InTheLight, I see ya got a good sense of humor, its always good
to enjoy a hearty laugh, me thinks. :)

You might like this one:
I read a rather amusing account in one of my theological books
about a defendant who appeared before a Judge who was known
to be a good Calvinist.

This defendant had been tried and found guilty of cold blooded murder
and as he stood before the Judge to make his final statement before
the Judge read his sentence, he told the Judge that, "God had
predestined him before the foundation of the world to kill that
man so he could steal his money."

The Judge didn't bat an eye and replied, "Yes and God also
predestined me before the foundation of the world to sentence
you to be hanged by the neck until you are dead, which I now do.
Case closed."

:)

Hello Earth, Wind & Fire and thank you for the welcome.

New Jersey. Great state and the good folks have very
distinctive accents. I can usually recognize people from
the great state of New Jersey just by listening to them
say a few words.

Cheers.

Hello kyredneck, and thank you for the welcome.

My Thought For Today:
Long live the family and clan, especially strong
Christian Families and Clans which, me thinks, are
the salt of the earth, and also vital to the growth
and expansion of Biblical Christianity, which I believe
is the hope of America, and the world too.
