My name is Michelle. I am living in California and was a member here about 15 yrs ago when it was V-Bulletin. I can't remember what name or addy I used it's been so long.

I was Baptist, still am to most degrees, but attend a Non-Denominational Church. There is no Baptist Church around . Thanks for having me

I just noticed I cannot post in the Baptist Forums, what a bummer. Maybe I'll try to come back under Baptist since those are my beliefs

There are many independent baptistic churches that choose not to advertise their backgrounds due to regional prejudices.

Not all non-denominational churches are baptistic but many are.

Then again not all churches that call themselves Baptist, follow the doctrinal positions that define the term.

Welcome to the BaptistBoard again.

@Deena,

Hmm.

For me, Baptist, is the profession of my Christian faith.

In 1962 I was lead to saving faith in Christ through the ministry of Faith Baptist Church of Canoga Park CA.
In 1966 I inlisted in the US Air Force. I had to decide how I would designate my religion. Merely as Christian or more specifically as Baptist? I decided Baptist was best fit. After I was discharged from active duty in 1970, I actually joined that Baptist Church. I was a member there until December of 1978.

Currently I am attending Highland Baptist Temple, Highland, CA.
