Hello everyone!
It is so good to be here! I am a wife, Mom, and Grandma. Retired Army, and I work part time in a retail place.
My parents were Catholics, so I was raised in the the Catholic Church. Later in my later 20's I began questioning some issues and found my heart's home within a Baptist Church. My parents were quite upset with my decision but God allowed them to understand and accept the Church I chose.
Going against my parents, who were always my best friends, was not an easy issue.
But they trusted me and so we still were so very close and loving until their passing.
I was torn apart when my parents passed. Daddy in 1996, Mommy in 2002. My Mommy's last words were: "Never lose faith. Remember that, and I love you."
Then she slipped away.
God is so real to me. He knows what is right for me and He hears my prayers, always.
Sometimes our prayers are not exactly answered the way we want them to, but there is always His guidance and the strength to get through anything we face.
I don't mean to digress. I apologize. I have looked about this forum and found a whole bargeload of wonderful people.
Thank you for having me here!
Purrs,
Pookie
