Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a newbie to the site.
I grew up in a Christian, and yes, a Baptist family. I was saved, or so I thought around the age 9 in vbs. Turned out to be an "all my friends were doing it" emotion. It wasn't until a trip to youth camp when I was 15 and having a personal experience, that I fully gave my life to Christ and made things right with Him. I was baptized in Aug of 1995 when we returned from camp.
After that, the years went by and I found myself becoming the Easter/Christmas Sunday church goer. After I had my first child, almost six years ago, I decided I needed to turn things back over to the Lord and raise my family right. Over the last couple of years, if the church doors are open, we are there. I have since become a youth Sunday school teacher, the wife runs the nursery scheduling and security, and we help out the church in any way that our service may be of good use. Even play roles in our church's Walk thru Bethlehem each year. Just finished coaching my son's Upward basketball team.
Sorry the introduction was so long, but I look forward to talking and debating things in the future that can help me better in gaining knowledge.
