"Hey a new hot girl joins every minute"

...on a Christian Bulletin Board?

Someone said it was a porn site, as far as I can tell it is singles.net and not a porn site. I would just ignore it or get a blocker.

Brother, they ain't talking about her joining the BB. It's an advertisement for men. It's a semi-p*orn site that I'm sure leads to the bad stuff. I assuming it's a p*rn site. I could be wrong.

Do what I did last night. I had already downloaded Google Chrome a long time ago, but hardly used it. Now I will use it all of the time. Download Chrome and then go to chromeadblock.com and download the ad block. You won't see any ads anywhere.

The whole process takes mere minutes from start to finish and is free.

Not that she is a temptation me (I don't swing that way  !), I just get tired of looking at those ads, even if just for a nanosecond.

Scarlett O., I've been using Chrome for quite some time.

I just find it interesting that we have to abbreviate or modify a word such as "P-O-R-N" and then see an add posted about "Hot Girls".

P-O-R-N site or not. Mildly P-O-R-N or leads to full fledged P-O-R-N I wonder why it's even permitted to be on a Christian Website to begin with. The Portal Exists.

Is it really all about the money?

I meant Skandelon, the vociferous non-cal moderator, just a joke.

BTW, I initially mentioned Ad-block plus to block all ads, and Scarlette subsequently downloaded Ad-block, but those are two completely different products, not associated with each other. Evidently both work. Ad-block plus is open source, so it is decidedly non-commercial. Don't know if the same is true for Ad block.

Ad block plus works with either Firefox or Chrome, but you have to download the version of it for the browser you're using.

Ad blocks are great but what about the testimony that a Christian web site accepts advertising from company's that hawk questionable products? Visitors to the site that don't use ad blockers must be wondering about us. Frankly, we look like we're selling out to the world, IMO.

Why don't the owners of the board advertise that they will accept donations from members in order to eliminate all outside advertising?

Yes indeed. If the first thing a visitor sees on the home page, filed under Section 38 Double D with a link..., what are they to believe?

I didn't notice these more bolder ads until yesterday or the day before. I don't if it's because of the thread about Rush and his using of the sl*t word or not.

I used to get all up in arms about having to spell certain words with *'s and @'s, but I guess we need to do it.
