Life is not determined by what you want, but by the choices you make.

 

Here are some general counsiling tips I learned at camp that should help someone:
I. Speak first to people.
A. People always remember those who spoke first.
II. Have a plan and have character.
III. Say something positive to everyone you meet. See something positive in everything.
IV. Get in the campers shoes.
V. Never let anyone take your song! ( my favorite la, la, la, la, laaaaaa! thank you! you may hold the applause!)
VI. Questions convict; accustations harden the will.
VII.Purpose of singel hood: to learn that Jesus is enough!
VIII. Learn to give whether you get anything back or not.

at Leadership Camp 2004! I hope they help you as much as they helped me. Don't just read them and say "ahh that is nice" try to apply them it is amazing what happens!

So Jesus says "Ohh man, he's owning that old lady", and Jesus starts to pray. Out of no where a random shopping cart slams into the mugger causing him to slip. "Jesus wouldn't harm any one. Who pushed that cart" I said....

 

Then out from behind an aisle, a guy in a large mongoose costume appears.

 

and right behind the man in the large mongoose costume was his friend Mr. Burkwitzk the man without earlobes

 

So I was getting kind of nervous seeing as there was a guy in a mongoose costume and a man without earlobes looking at me and Jesus angrily but Jesus he...

 

I havent seen you post in a while matt. thought this was a failed attempt here.

Jesus... manifested a bottle of super glue, and glued the the mugger to the floor. The mongoose, amazed, kneeled down before jesus in conviction. Mr. Burkwitzk, however not impressed, began to walk away. Jesus however being kind and passionate, gave Mr. Burkwitzk his earlobes back. ( which he lost in the "7 years mongoose war" 1979-1986)

 

Ha this is great! What a thread! I have been away for a while, Will. So now I am back and on with the story:

Mr. Burkwitzk was amazed at the appearance of his earlobes! In fact he was so amazed, that he ran all over the the town screaming " i havva earlobbbes!!!" People missunderstood Mr. Burkwitzk though. They thought he was saying " I have swollen and slightly distorted green toes!"
No one is quiet sure how this interpetation was given, but we all blame the man with the puprple ice cream kart.
But this startled all the people so much that they began to cover there heads and scream "NOOOO MONNNGOOOSSEEEE!!!!" This was a direct result from the terrifying Mongoose War. Which is only natural seeing how many men were lost in that war.
But Jesus he stood up and said...

 

OIC Matt.

So Jesus stood and said... Silence, his voice carried deep for hundereds of feet. penetrating peoples ears; broadcasting in all languages so everyone could hear. (Don't know how he would lip sync all the multi lingual talking).. Everyone looked up. Jesus began a speech: He lifted his hands, and said "Behold this hairless cat(manifested), is this not a similar to a mongoose, just with out hair?" "Do Mongeese, not cower when man walks into their land? Were not an equal amount of mongeese lost in the war? I ask you all today..........................(long pause)..............(softly) to make peace. people stand and start clapping. the mugger is hauled off by police in the background.....

 

but as the mugger is being taken away... something weird happens. The old lady who was saved by Jesus begins to shake in rage!
She roars " I hates mongooses and I hates peace!"
All the people where startled by this random acclamation! How could this old women use such improper grammar! A couple English teachers fainted at this loud proclamation! On a second thought we thought how could this old toad spue such hatred from her mouth!
Jesus looked at her and said "Be gone foul demon"
How could this old lady be a demon we all knew she was foul that was obvious but she didn't have pointy ears and a Kerry bumpersticker on her hatchback( some obvious signs) how could she be a demon!
She screamed at Jesus...

What? I am looking at Northland Bible Baptist College in Dunbar Wisconsin. But what does that have to do with the story?
And what do the numbers 247 mean?
