Hi,

I am a stay-at-home mother of a 10 year old son with ASD, living in Alaska but from Michigan. I haven't yet picked a denomination or church. I am drawn to the Catholic Church but have not yet decided where I will fellowship. Currently I just read the Bible, pray and spiritually share with a small number of family and friends.

I happened upon this board and saw it had a thriving and active community, which is what drew me to the discussions. Although I do not always agree, I am always fascinated by various points of theological reasoning.

Alaska is beautiful and full of adventurous people. It's a place where you need a float plane or a small yacht to get the most of out of what the land has to offer. Otherwise if all you have is a car, you will get funneled into the same bottlenecks as everybody else, and it is very crowded fishing. It is called "combat fishing" here. It's a big state but not a car state.
