Hi. I'm a former Catholic and now non-denominational follower of Christ

I thoroughly enjoy being in the presence of Godly people. I'm 59 and was raised Catholic and was a run-of-mill Catholic for my first 50 years. By the grace of God my eyes were opened to the falsehood of the worldly Catholic organization and I rejected it.

I hope to bear good fruit for this community by sharing and I look forward to learning from all of you too.

Thank you for accepting my request to join.

Praise the Holy Spirit for opening your spiritual eyes! Hopefully you been baptised by immersion.

(Rom 6:3 KJV) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
(Rom 6:4 KJV) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

May God bless us as we continue to grow in His love and grace.

Thank you. I've not been baptized aside from when I was an infant and I don't think that counts. I DO believe that I have been spiritually baptized by the Holy Spirit as he freed me from alcoholism nearly two years ago. I did ask a church pastor (after attending his service) if he would baptize me and he said he would have to talk with the "church elders" and get back to me, but he never did.

Find a good Baptist church that teaches the bible not some man-made version. Be like the Berean's and check whether what you are being told aligns the word of God.
