Hibernate vs. Standby

    I think you're wrong. I've never had a problem yet (in two years). To make sure, I did a disk analysis with the defrag tool, and it reported that there was no need to defrag yet.

    Actually there's a lot more to worry about than someone just getting access to your computer...

    I have a friend who works for the FBI in the computer crime division and it has become fairly common for criminals to use the wireless access of innocent people to conduct criminal ventures and trade child pornography.

    If you like the idea of an FBI entry team knocking down your front door in the middle of the night and seizing your computer, personal files, safe, etc. for the necessary investigation, then leave your wireless connection unprotected and you might get your wish. :eek:

    But if you prefer to have less drama in your life, then do the sane thing and secure your wireless connection.

Seems like I've heard that.
