I have never thought of Trump as an idealist. He has some liberal in him and some New York City toughness and some real estate expertise and salesmanship and some general showmanship, but I don't think that there is much ideology per se other than some occasional pragmatism. I think what he will deliver to the American people depends a lot on whatever he can get at any particular time and not any guiding idealism on his part. I think that Trump is often fickle. He is a lot better than Obama.

Trump is the first president I have seen that is hated FOR attempting to keep his campaign promises. He is not naive enough to think he will get everything done he promised, but he is working hard to keep his promises. Trump is angering the Democrats to no end, and that tells me that he is on the right track.
