Say it ain't so....

"Having failed to win the White House in November and with a new book on the way, Hillary Clinton is reportedly looking at turning to a more publicly religious role. Her pastor is saying she wants to get into preaching.

According to The Atlantic, Clinton told her longtime pastor Bill Shillady, at a recent photo shoot for his new book, that she wants to preach — something that the outlet says has always been a dream of hers. This comes on the back of a report that Clinton told an editor in 1994 that she thought 'all the time' about becoming a minister.

'Given her depth of knowledge of the Bible and her experience of caring for people and loving people, she’d make a great pastor,' Shillady told the Atlantic, but noted it would likely be more of a lay position such as a deaconess."

Hillz may have a "depth of knowledge"of the Bible, but she seems to have, imnsho anyway, difficulty turning that knowledge into action.

She would be more conservative than most Methodists I know.

The king of fiction and fake news ... Breitbart News ... ROFL. They are no more credible than the National Enquirer. Breitbart is good for laughs.

In all fairness to Breitbart, they weren't the originators of the article. They were quoting from the article that was published in The Atlantic. So, if this is fake news, it's not Breitbart's fault this time around.

My comment was about Breitbart and their propensity to stretch the truth.

I agree this article is accurate. However, the OP should reference credible sites ... Breitbart is not, IMHO, a credible site.

Blessings.

I grew up in the UMC. My grandparents helped to found our little Methodist church. My uncle was the section and I was his assistant. So, while I no longer share many of their beliefs, I still have a lot of affection and happy memories of them. So it's especially heartbreaking to see what has happened to that denomination. There is a remnant of Bible believers in that denomination, but they're facing a tidal wave of liberalism.

breibart haters do not care about facts they just want to hate. Your factual considerations only work to annoy the B haters.

I don't agree with your characterization of the Methodist Church. I suppose it's based on their unwillingness to bow down to the Republican Party. I've done lay preaching at a local retirement home with a retired Salvation Army (Methodist based) minister once a week for 6 years and have never heard him say anything approaching a liberal theology.

I happy that you've found an individual who has not fallen for the liberalism, but the fact remains that it is pervasive in the UMC.

And since I am not a Republican, I fail to see what that ha to do with anything.

Breitbart has got a few things wrong - yes. But it is an "Genetic fallacy" to attack the source instead of the information contained in the article. All human sources of information have been wrong at one time or another.

That said... If memory serves me, I used to have an old comic of Obama holding a Bible with only the shell of it (outer covers) left. I imagine Hillary's Bible would look the same.

I will see if I can find it... Not sure how pictures work here.

Infowars and Breitbart are the gold standard of news.
Just interested. Do you accept the Infowars perspective on 9/11?

IT’S TIME TO ADMIT THE ‘9/11 TRUTHERS’ WERE RIGHT
Saudi cover-up proves US government complicit in 9/11 terror attacks
Mikael Thalen | Infowars.com - JULY 15, 2016
It’s Time to Admit The ‘9/11 Truthers’ Were Right

“The kingdom’s involvement was deliberately covered up at the highest levels of our government. And the coverup goes beyond locking up 28 pages of the Saudi report in a vault in the US Capitol basement,” Paul Sperry writes. “Investigations were throttled. Co-conspirators were let off the hook.”

Everyone from Join Terrorism Task Force members to FBI agents and Virginia law enforcement say that despite evidence leading to the Saudi Embassy in Washington, investigations were derailed repeatedly by higher ups.

“Those sources say the pages missing from the 9/11 congressional inquiry report — which comprise the entire final chapter dealing with ‘foreign support for the September 11 hijackers’ — details ‘incontrovertible evidence’ gathered from both CIA and FBI case files of official Saudi assistance for at least two of the Saudi hijackers who settled in San Diego.”

More on 9/11 from Infowars

9/11: CIA LIKELY BUILT REMOTE-CONTROLLED COMMERCIAL JETS IN AIRCRAFT BONEYARD
This would explain how 9/11 hijackers were able to “fly” commercial jets with little experience
Wayne Madsen | Infowars.com - OCTOBER 29, 2015
9/11: CIA Likely Built Remote-Controlled Commercial Jets in Aircraft Boneyard
"Marshall, a veteran United Airlines pilot with 15,000 hours in the cockpits of Boeing 757s and Boeing 767s, the two aircraft types allegedly involved in destroying the World Trade Center twin towers, the west side of the Pentagon, and plunging into a field in Pennsylvania, wrote two books — False Flag 911: How Bush, Cheney and the Saudis Created the Post-911 World and The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror — doubting the official 9/11 Commission report that claimed that 19 Arab flight students, with only rudimentary training, were able to maneuver heavy jet planes in a manner that even seasoned pilots like Marshall said was virtually impossible. Impossible, perhaps, for human pilots but possibly not for special hybrid aircraft, fabricated to resemble commercial planes, painted with United and American logos and colors, and topped off with drone technology."

There's a lot more that can be found by simply searching for 9/11 on the Infowars web site:
