The Blaze reports that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke at a Missouri church this afternoon, addressing the Charleston church massacre and efforts to remove the Confederate flag.

Then she made the mistake of asserting that “all lives matter” - a phrase that set off the #BlackLivesMatter crowd online. They responded with a barrage of disapproving tweets, a sampling of which is below:

In my wildest dreams, I can't believe I'm defending the Wicked Witch of the West Wing, but do they really believe all lives don't matter?

Ruins their narrative. It could also be that a lot of them really believe their lives are more important than any other race.

But it's more likely they just don't want their thunder stolen or muted.

That must be it. No big fan here of the Hillmeister, but what really is so bad and racist about saying this:

I learned this not from politics but from my mother who taught me that everybody, everybody needs a chance and a champion. She knew what it was like to have neither one. Her own parents abandoned her. By 14, she was out on her own working as a house maid. Years later when I was old enough to understand, I asked her. What kept you going? Her answer was very simple. Kindness along the way from someone who believed she mattered. All lives matter.

that's a positive and inspirational statement, not a racist one.
