Freelance Journalist, Steven Vincent, and his interpreter were shot in Basra a few hours after this was published - this is his last article.

I'd just like to point that much of the late Steven Vincent's writings are very much worth reading.

The run of the mill terrorist operating in Iraq can't read english. They do however recognize a foreigner when they see one and those are the enemy(TM).

But they do watch and listen to Al Jazeera, who broadcasts objectionable news stories and op eds from the west.
