'Holiday" White House Cards - not Christmas

I am not sure what you are saying with this, Halos are Sun discs, a remnant of sun god worship.

 

Actually Halos as they are used in Christian art are a direct copy from Roman Imperial art, where they were used to point out that the person had acquired Divine status.
By that time the halo they had become a general stylistic cue and had lost the specific tie with the sun.

I have no problem with using "holidays" on a card being sent out to a generic group of people.

I have no problem with saying "Happy Holidays". I just don't like some people trying to stop some other people from saying "Merry Christmas" or from calling a Christmas tree a "Christmas tree".

 

Of course WND excludes the fact that the card has a scripture verse on it, because that would make WND story lack credibility.

But hey, who cares about some stupid bible verse on a card. The fact that it says "Happy Holidays" proves that it's a conspiracy plotted by Hallmark!

No, I meant WND. The site has several of their own articles on the topic, and none of them mention the bible verse.

But, while we're at it, yes, the Washington Post likewise omitted this info, no doubt because that little tidbit would compromise their agenda of selling lots of copy.

We see halos very early in chruch history, before pagan sun worship was a thing of the past. It was introduced into the church by pagans who wanted to be a part of constintines chruch and they brought there habits with them. Just because they. There is no reason to think the folks who painted sun discs were ignorant of there history. Now explain away the pagan conection to Easter eggs. For years I've sent out various types of Christmas cards - some say, Merry Christmas and others have said, Happy Holidays, I don't know what the real problem is? The word Holidays simply means, Holy Days!

The use of halos in Christian art precedes Constantine's career as an emperor.

In a broader sense, anything in Christianity not brought in by Jewish Christians or their descendants was brought in by Christianized pagans or their descendants.

 

The egg ritual comes from pagan fertility rites, it is still practised in China. And the Halos come from pagan sun worship. It is just that simple. At some point it had to be Christianized, because it is not from Christ. It came from paganism.
