Town officials encounter resistance after blabbing their race views:

WGAU

"Hoschton City Councilman Jim Cleveland said he is considering...resigning, in the wake of a racially charged controversy over the hiring of a new city administrator. Cleveland and Hoschton Mayor Theresa Kenerly have been under fire....Kenerly [allegedly blocked consideration of] a candidate because he is black."

Cleveland said "that seeing interracial couples on television 'makes my blood boil.'"

"comments from both officials drew immediate condemnation from every corner of the political spectrum, including the current and former chairs of the Jackson County Republican Party...and the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus."

"Cleveland said he is not the hard-core racist he’s been made out to be, claiming he has moderated his views over the years....'People think I’m completely intolerant. That’s no way the case. We just came back from a vacation in Florida. We had a black couple two doors down and I talked to them,' he said."

"'I still think that whites should marry whites and blacks should marry blacks,' he said....'the races should remain 'pure'...I've talked to my pastor about it.'"

Many, many blacks in Georgia believe the same thing. I am good friends with a black preacher who is infuriated by inter racial marriage.

The fact is, it is being pushed by nearly every show, & an inordinate amount of commercials & it also makes my blood boil. It is all a progressive, liberal mindgame where they are attempting to make everyone feel like this is the most normal dynamic of society today.
Why have races anyway, whose idea was that? We should all be one conglomerate of flesh to be fair & global. Anything different means you are not thinking right. They are teaching your children their message in the process. It is evil. Just as it is evil to teach children to embrace & try out lgbtq, as they are doing in our EDUCATION system. What kind of education is that? Not the one they need. No God, or prayer allowed while they teach this garbage, with a side of global warming. Read, Write, or Arithmatic? If we have time.........
Good thing undomesticated (meaning not ruined by the hand of man) birds & animals know enough to procreate with their own species, otherwise we’d have screwed up looking unidentifiable creatures.

Well, now that I’ve self identified as a bigot, according to the thread title, & ranted on the education system, I can extend the rant to PBS where they continue to ply children with cartoons on the wonderful ending for Arthur, as he marries his husband. Notice the glowing way the article is written too, makes one feel like they should praise the joyous union.
BTW didn’t I hear that Trump is removing funding from PBS? Good!

Wow. Didn't know people that believed that still existed.
Let’s see, Tucker Carlson recently interviewed a black author who warns about trusting white people; then there are the HBCUs, Black Muslims, Black Hebrews, Black Israelites, BLM, etc. Yep, racism is pretty much par for the course—but it’s “OK” in those situations, in fact, in every situation except for whites. Are you woke yet?

Yep, not believing in gay marriage makes me a bigot. Wanting my 2 son's to marry someone with at least as much tribal blood as they have makes me a bigot.
My future daughter in law is Cherokee/Dutch and my son is white (Scots, Welsh, Italian, Slovak, German, Swiss). Welcome to the family. Welcome to the family!

South Carolina peaches are better :D .
There is one over there I like. Perry Noble. I disagree with half of what he says. Strongly disagree with 15%. I fully know his past (inside info in addition to the public stuff), but I still can't stop listening to him.

I like him.

My church is in Georgia so I'm right there with ya.

I was talking about peaches. I grew up in Marietta and never quite understood why GA was known for peaches. We always went to SC for peaches and strawberries. For us (growing up) GA was for pecans.
