Didn't Nunes shut down his investigation? Moreover, his account of his committee's Republican-supported report explicitly states that the FISA warrant for Carter Page began long before the intelligence dispatches from Steele (aka, the "Steele dossier") came to light, despite what he and others have claimed. Nunes counts on his core supporters to not actually read the documents.

Congress doesn't get to randomly interfere with ongoing criminal investigations without a very good reason. I sincerely doubt a judge will find Nunes' arguments compelling.
