How do you explain the increasing popularity of the NBA?

Here in Indianapolis, the Pacers finally got a team where the majority was not on parole.
Chinese money involvement!
It's a fast paced game with lots of scoring and individual athletic excellence.
Lots of shooting anyway.
Can't score if you don't shoot.
In college they actually hit.
Not sure what you're watching but the college shooters are nowhere near as good as the NBA shooters.
I am watching balls go through rims and balls bounce off rims.

Dumb people being entertained.
Well aware. College players are more accurate closer to the rim. They shoot more close to the rim than NBA does.

I think part of the popularity of the NBA is due to the shorter length of the typical game (as opposed to a typical MLB game, for example).
