I go to the barn with the horses when I can. I'll ride the 17.1 hand Hanovarian (read : BIG) and get to work with him. I'll also do the stalls and do the general work that needs to be done each day. I always come out of there happy and relaxed (not to mention stinky).

I'll also sit on the computer (although that sometimes CAUSES stress), read, sit with DH and talk (yep - we do that - we had a WONDERFUL time this morning after the teens went off for the first day of school) or else just take a nap.

Honey, is that you? Wow, I thought this was my wife but she is not in Alabama and I watch the History Channel.

Relaxing is not something I am very good at. Seems I am always multi-tasking. But I do like my time at night when the kids go to bed. Even though I am still multitasking, I enjoy discussing theology, reading, and playing the piano.

Really, that's my favorite show. Especially the old ones with the late Barney. That guy was a character. I won a contest one time also. It was about 15 of us at the start and about 20 questions into the contest, it was just me... They didn't stand a chance...

I hated to tell them I once stayed up an entire weekend to watch an Andy Griffith marathon on TBS. Somethings are better left unsaid.

Now this cracked me completely up... I pictured you multi-tasking, I'm relaxing and vacuuming all at the same time.

For some reason I don't think you're joking...

I watch DVDs with my wife, practice my karate or my Chinese martial art, read novels (SF or mystery) and play a wacky computer game called "Worms." My son wants me to play a simulation PC game with him online, and I'm looking forward to that.

    Tater tot,
I am so busy doing so many things at once, I dont have time to look in the dictiornary to see what multitasking means!
Even when I do <wheresgeorge.com> I am doing at least three other things at once!

    Today people in America remember:
    Remember the events of nine-eleven.
Today many again mourn their dead.
Today we remember many not in heaven.

What do you do to unwind, to live life?
Know that foolish questions gender strife.

Today we have soldiers in Afghanistan.
Last week at least a dozen died.
Today we live in relative safety.
    And today families have cried.

They cry to see the soldier that never came home.
They cry for the son they will never see again.
They cry for the husband; a marriage is broken.
They cry for their father—the war is insane.

What do you do to unwind, to live life?
Know that foolish questions gender strife.

The middle-east is in constant turmoil.
    Bombs, debris, death and destruction;
    Whether Israel or Palestine,
Will the land e’er see construction?

What do you do to unwind, to live life?
Know that foolish questions gender strife.

    Second Timothy Two: Twenty-Three
    Foolish questions gender strife
What do you do to unwind?
What do you do to live life?

(I spend my time answering foolish questions on BB to unwind) :)

"I atttempt to correct incorrect posts on the BB." - Language Cop

"I get on Language Cop's case!" - Ed

Seriouly, DHK. You mean to say nine-eleven, I believe, not seven-eleven.

But this is a marvelous tribute to the USA, and fitting memoriam for 9-11.

    Love sports (watching and playing)
My daughter is amazingly refreshing (18 months old)
Love a good book and a cigar
Movies, only if it is really good though
Hanging out with my brothers, or any other believer whom I can do nothing but listen to. (only a few that I consider my "spiritual heros")
I love to reflect, its one of the best ways to see God

Corndoggy, dog!!! You've got us Bab-uh-tists to where we can't do nothin'----can't drink, can't smoke, can't cuss, can't chew and we can't go out with girls that do!!!!

What does Blackbird do to unwind???

Tinker in the garden --- mow grass --- tinker with the tractor

Do I listen to secular music??? Hardly any ---- I "use" ta listen to Country ---- but now country music makes me want to do two things

    1) Punch somebody's lites out for messin' with my wife and "stuff"

    2) Rob some bank branch and spend the money on the way home!!

    :type: :type:

Work in the garden ---- mercy --- its a stress reliever

Mow grass --- another stress releaver

Tinker with the tractor ---- unbelievable stress reliever

I made sure I took Mondays off and got away from the parsonage too. I don't golf, but I walked the local golf course several times collecting lost balls.........at least I think they were lost...I even got a few dollars when I turned them in for resale.

When I did try golfing, I tee'd up and shouted,,,,,Deacon Jones,,,, instead of fore..........

    Cheers,

    Jim

My wife and I ride bikes every other day for a few hours. Our life primarily revolves around biking, as this is our primary form of relaxation. I re-arrange my work schedule as best I can to accomodate this. We also go on bike tours, riding from town to town with other bikers either thru an organized bike club ride or tour company. Second is being intimate together, third is watching rented movies. We are blessed to have these things in common
Skydiving sounds like alot of fun....

You're supposed to yell before you hit the ball not after you hit the deacon...
