No one, including an infant, is above these specifications. However, Christ is coming back to JUDGE us by our sins, not to apply blanket condemnation. The only way ANY of us are going tomake it to Heaven is by Christ administering mercy.Scott asks:
How then is a infant above these specifications?
Your immediate reply to my post shows that you were waiting for that response. Please take time to read the other cited verses concerning children.2 Peter 3
9The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
As for Judgment, let's look at it this way: two deaths occur today from vehicles hitting people. In the first scenario a motorist deliberately runs up on the sidewalk and runs down a man. In the second scenario a tie rod breaks and the driver, unable to control the vehicle hits another man killing him. Both motorists go to court, both charged with vehicular homocide.
Will they be judged the same? Would that serve justice?
Our God is Just and is capable and willing to show mercy (Matthew 5:7).
Romans 9
14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
