Rabbits. :Biggrin

A small group treks cross country to establish a new warren. Lots of danger to overcome. I think I was about 10 or 11 when I first read it, and still have a copy on my shelf.:)
Remember, its a children's book. Probably way over his head. :D :D :D

Going through my stuff and boy did I buy allot of books over the years. For the love of all I had way too many books! These days I only buy them in iBooks for carrying around an iPad is far easier! I mean who has the time to read all these books? Any of you overwhelmed with books?
Only ONE book necessary, its called the Bible!
Other books are important butif you could only have and use one book!

I have more books on my Kindle than I will ever read but I still pick them up because at times, it has been good to have them. Hubby has done some sermon series where books that I got (usually for free) were VERY handy (he just used The Sermon on the Mount by Sinclair Fergason) and other times I've used them for my own study/life circumstances. I didn't know that when I picked up the book When Your Husband is Addicted to Pornography by Vickie Tiede in 2014 or I Surrender All: Rebuilding a Marriage Broken by Pornography by Mark A. Tabb in 2011 that we would have to counsel a couple struggling with this particular sin in their life and marriage. I had never dealt with it but when the books were free, I grabbed them and they were VERY quickly read before our counseling session. My husband was able to read them too because of the family shared thing with Amazon. I subscribe to a few blogs and e-mails that send out info on free and low cost books and I'll grab them when they come up even if I'm not yet interested in them. You just never know - but that means I have over 1000 books on my Kindle and others that aren't even uploaded yet!! LOL Hope...The Best of Things by Joni Erickson Tada is the most recent upload I got a couple of weeks ago. It's now $4 but it was free at that time. :)
I have over 300 on my Logos library now, but find that rteally only use maybe 20 of them!
Mainly use biblestudy tools...
I have to fight to be reading and studying those books and neglrecting the ONLY book required to read, the Bible!

Go easy on evangelist6589. This may be one of the few areas I agree with him. Reading a large variety of books broadens the understanding of the subject as no other endeavor of man can do. :)

Ecc 12:11-12 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

A concordance, lexicon, a good set of commentaries and the Bible are all that would be needed for someone on a budget and having to work.

My earlier advice is what Christ would tell you.

Get off the web. Join a church. Submit to its authority, and get counseling.

I have the Expositor's Commentary, Robertson's NT Word Pictures (6 vol), Vincent Word Studies (4 vol), Weust's Word Studies (4 vol), and Matthew Henry's 6 volume work that i use weekly. There is pleeeeeenty of information here that is useful for exposition. Not including the commentary set, i Probably paid less than $200 for all those sets.

Bits of it. Mostly is what WOTM radio said about it or was it what Mac said about it.

But Evan - You get down on people here when they say they have heard the author speak on the subject of a book and you say that is not good enough and they must read the book. Now you are taking the word of secondary people regarding the contents of a book and saying that is OK? I think you have a double standard.

What do you say of that book? It's labeled under psycho babble and self-improvement so go figure.
