I claim that. Scripture is plain that the "five fold" ministry started. The burden to prove it stopped rests on you.
The bible states that the church is built upon the Rock that is Christ, with spiritual foundations of the prophets and Apostles, so that part was already set!

Seriously? Maybe you need to scholar up on Greek a bit better because you are missing it

Some claim that they can even raise the dead today, so just curious how they do that
I attend a church (local assembly) where a dead man climbed out of the back of an ambulance and returned to the worship service. Nobody that was there claims that anyone but GOD did it.

So how was THAT different than God healing a man in Acts 3? (except it was the Body of Christ praying rather than an Apostle).

you have documentation that happened, as in certificate of death?

Of course not. They do not issue certificates of death for people who flatline and climb out of an ambulance while they are filling out the paperwork. I can introduce you to the rest of the people that were there. The Doctor, the ER RN that was playing base guitar. The Hospice RN that likes to sit in the back row and administered CPR for half an hour. They will probably not talk about it much ... it was about God getting His glory, not about turning a small church into a circus ... but they will confirm that it happened and they can provide all the details if you have some legitimate "need to know".

Using the same criteria for truth, do you have a death certificate for Lazarus or Jesus of Nazareth? If not, does that mean that they were never resurrected, either?

"For those who believe, no proof is necessary.
For those that do not believe, no proof is possible."

So when exactly did God become so feeble that he doesn't do miracles any more?

Ephesians 4 is still in my bible...
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds[c] and teachers,[d] 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[e] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

He still can of course, just very rarely, hence term miracle, and none gifted today by Him to do such!

Biblical prophets and Apostles wrote and spoke under inspiration of the Holy Spirit directly, ANY today can claim the same?

Are you seriously asking if the Holy Spirit still ever inspires anyone to speak?
OF COURSE HE DOES!

[Mark 13:9-13 NASB] 9 "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to [the] courts, and you will be flogged in [the] synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them. 10 "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but [it is] the Holy Spirit. 12 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father [his] child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. 13 "You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved."

  • The Gospel is still being spread.
  • People are still being persecuted for spreading the Gospel
  • It is inconceivable that God would abandon His children in their hour of need when His work is not completed.
  • So this promise still stands!

There is, of course, no need for more Apostles to testify to having seen the risen Christ ... that FACT was established by 2 or 3 witnesses already.
There is also no need for Apostles to write down Holy Scripture, since that task was also completed.
In that regard, the Church (Body of Christ) does not NEED another Paul to add to scripture. (I agree with you.)

However, nothing in scripture prohibits Jesus from appearing to someone as He appeared to Saul ... so God COULD create an Apostle and charge that Apostle (one who is sent with authority) with a mission. The Holy Spirit could certainly also raise up individuals and command them to "go" and "do" whatever task God might appoint them to ... which would make them no less an 'apostle' than Barnabas or Timothy (who were both "one sent").
