Members of Baptist Board rightly scolded President Obama for his frequent golf outings. It's possible part of their ire was payback for the Democrats complaining that President George W. Bush went golfing quite frequently. But Bush abruptly stopped golfing in March 2003, having been on 24 golf outings in 26 months.

President Obama went golfing 333 times in 96 months in office.

President Trump has been in office 44 months and one day, as of today (September 21, 2020.)

How many times has Trump gone golfing in his 44 months in office?
(no fair looking it up)

Notes:
1. I'm asking for the number of times Trump actually went golfing, not the number of times Trump has visited a golf course.

2. Trump went golfing yesterday.

Believing that President Obama usually made poor decisions, his recreational time seems to me to be well spent. :)

Trump likens his golf to exercise, which he says keeps his energy up and helps him accomplish more. I think his work ethic has proven this.

Obama, really was MIA during his reign. That's what many were complaining about. Trump, like him or not, gets things done. If golf exercise is contributing, I say play more golf, Mr. President. Play a lot more golf!

Trump likens his golf to exercise,

Now, that's funny. Golfing as exercise. Hit a ball. Get into a golf cart and drive 200 yards down the fairway. Hit the ball again. Get in the cart and drive 200 yards toward the hole. Repeat 80 times. Five hours spent driving a golf cart around. Exercise. Sure.

Not funny at all. It's funny you don't think golfing is not exercise for a septuagenarian. What do you want him doing, triathlons? LOL!

If he's getting his job done, and he is, I don't care how he spends his time while doing it. It is probably healthier for him to be working from the golf course than sitting in an office, actually coming from a physical therapy background I'd say that is pretty much a given. This is also like telling an a line-assembly person they can't sit on a stool while at work for no other reason than to make his life less comfortable. The man is a billionaire who chose to work hard for his country and deserves to be comfortable. This complaint has no value in this case other than to try to discredit the man...

Maybe get some real exercise, you know, something that will increase his heart rate a little bit and doesn't take 5 hours to accomplish.

He's not working on the golf course. For the most part he golfs with athletes and celebrities. Occasionally he golfs with business people and other politicians but not very much.

So it was a valid complaint when Obama did it, but with Trump it's not worthy of complaining.

I'm sure ITL will come around. He respects science. In fact, it would do him some good to get on the golf course himself. Improves mood.

It would probably help Biden also, but he'll never leave that basement.

If he's thinking, he's working. I'm sure he has people around him fulfilling tasks as he socializes and moves around. The activity probably helps him to have clearer mind. Its called multi-tasking.

Not necessarily, Obama seemed to be shirking his responsibilities while going to golf and besides 2 wrongs would never make a right.

Why doesn’t ITL pose similar comparisons like how many times the White House has been used as party central? How many times did the first lady take an entourage of friends & family on vacay taxpayer funded jaunts around the world? Did Trump move his inlaws in under the guise of ‘childcare’? I could go on, but what’s the point? This thread doesn’t even deserve any response.

My thoughts exactly. Thank you.
