HOW Much, if ANY , of the OT promises To Isreal Apply To Church?

basically, they want the OT covenant blessings from the Lord given to isreal, but neglect to see that it was to a specific peoples, and they refuse to accept both the curse and blessings!

The promise of a Messiah that would die for our sins...the promise of indwelling Holy Spirit...the promise of eternal life with God in heaven. The focus of Christians should be on the things above, not below. That is very clear from scripture.
That said, I see nothing wrong with asking for God's blessings on our lives..whether it be health or prosperity...always seeking the same attitude as Paul to be content in whatever circumstance we find ourselves.

This is not a promise specific to Israel, this rightly points out that all good gifts are of the Lord. We should not think we produced this or that, because God gave us whatever talent we possess. We should give thanks to the Lord in all things.
Here we have the promise to those who trust and obey, who keep His commandments, that they be will set high above the other nations of the world, i.e. the non-believers. This promise applies both to OT saints and NT saints, for we have been set apart in Christ.
This promise is to all who trust and obey and choose life such that we shall not perish but have eternal life.
Here we have a promise specific to that time and place where people were not bringing tithes to the storehouse used by the Priests. God promised them if they stopped robbing God, God would bless them such that their "need" was met. If we derive a long term principle from this text, it is to trust God for our provision and give ourselves to the Lord, holding nothing back. We may not receive physical blessings in this life, but we will enter the kingdom abundantly!
Some short term applications were for the people of that past time, but the promises usually have an application to us in the church age as shown above, but it is not wealth, health and prosperity in this life, rather some will be blessed in this way but others will not in this life, but we will all share in these promises of blessings in the kingdom of God.

The principles are for all times.
All promises are fulfilled in the Church as the seed of Abraham through Christ; not in the state of Israel. God's promises are eternal and are therefore fulfilled in the eternal Body of Christ. God has so clearly stated this that one must be purposefully deceiving himself to believe otherwise.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. The chapter starts by strongly condemning any return to the old law as foolish:
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? (Galatoins 3:1-3)

But weren't the promises made under Old Covenant mainly physically based, rooted int he land and material blessings, while Church blessings are mainly rooted in heavenly spiritual blessings now?

JF, what hinders you from seeing that the old covenant is done away in Christ? Do you have 'the same veil'?
Hello DaChaser1, what you ask here I see as easily verifiable in scripture. We, the Church, due to additional revelation and the benefit of the indwelling of God, understand what Israel did not and could not, as Paul states:
2 Corinthians 3:12-16
King James Version (KJV)
12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
What might be a good idea is to direct the topic toward what promises do not apply to the Church in the sense of being fulfilled temporally, such as the gathering of the children of promise into their own land when "the Kingdom is restored unto Israel."

How does his question equate to "he has a veil upon his heart?"
Not all of the promises concerning the New Covenant have been fulfilled, and not all of them have to do with the Church, though she certainly benefits and is under this Covenant.

Both the Old and the new testament promises remain. If you look around the world and see which nations have been founded on the principles of the Christian faith you will see those nations always prosper more then nations who do not and if they begin to depart from those principles so does the blessings both physical and spiritual. Both the old and new remain in principle for all time.

old Covenant was superceded by the new One though!
old Covenant gaveus Moses and law, new Christ and Grace!
ALL of the promises of God for/to us found NOW in Christ, dispenses out under a newer/surer/better covenant!

Jesus said this;
Matt 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth has not passed and all has not been fulfilled.
You truly do not understand salvation. The OT was also grace. No one has ever been saved by anything but grace.
