The copies of the LXX translations add years. And Luke 3:36 shows a name we know is missing in the Hebrew text. For which the question of the genealogies being closed or open. And then there are other known disparaties. 1 Kings 6:1. If we calculate the date from the Law to the building the the Temple (using Acts 13:18-22 and 1 Kings 2:10-11) 570 years can be calculated. 1 Kings 6:1 the LXX translations have 440 years. Also a difference of we take the 430 years from Abram being 75 to the Law (Galatians 3:17).

From the creation to the flood Noah is 10th for Adam. From Noah to Abram 20 or 21 given Luke 3:36. Assuming a closed genealogy.

There is no "the LXX" (already demonstrated*), and what are called 'septuaginta' (nothing of the sort) are corrupt, has serious contradictions, and not worth mentioning, please refrain from bringing it up again, thank you. Feel free to go and start your own thread and waste time there.

... [Page 47] If there was an Aristeas, he was faced with two insurmountable problems.

First, how did he ever locate the twelve tribes in order to pick his six representative scholars from each. Having been thoroughly scattered by their many defeats and captivities, the tribal lines of the 12 tribes had long since dissolved into virtual non-existence. It was impossible for anyone to distinctly identify the 12 individual tribes.

Secondly, if the 12 tribes had been identified, they would not have undertaken such a translation for two compelling reasons.

We can point to another example of names in the NT which are not directly in the OT anywhere, but come through inspiration of the Holy Ghost, none the less, and from sources which today do not exist as they did then:

2 Timothy 3:8 - Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Furthermore, if one were to attempt to posit this as an intercalation or later emendation by later scribe, they would have to have more solid evidence that what is herein presented, and there is no such evidence to be had, and all who say otherwise, having nothing to show except an aetheral speculation on a whim. Some who posit that Luke borrowed from the so-called LXX, do not realize that the earliest extant mss do not contain it, but omit it [more than likely an attempt to cover what they do not understand about why Luke does have it], except in older extant copies in LXX Genesis 11:13, and in the so-called Jubilees 8:1-4, see - KAINAN - JewishEncyclopedia.com.

AM 3617 is the beginning of Jehoiakim's Judaic reign, and if we add 4 years, unto the 4th year of his Judaic reign, AM 3617 + 4 = AM 3620/1 (4th year Jehoiakim, 1st year Nebuchadnezzar), which historically becomes the 1st year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign in Babylon.

The Bible says that Nebuchadnezzar, “in the seventh year” (Jer 52:28) he took captives, 3023 Jews. If we consider the context of Jeremiah 52:28-30, this would mean then, that it is the 7th year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, being AM 3627/8, placing it right at the time of Jehoiakim's captivity.

Jehoiakim, serves Nebuchadnezzar for “three years” (2 Ki 24:1), which is what Daniel refers to (Dan 1:1) as the “the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah”. In other words, it was the 3rd year of Jehoiakim's reign being subjected to the greater earthly King of Kings (Dan 2:37), not the third year of Jehoiakim's Judaic reign, but instead Jehoiakim's 9th year of Judaic reign. Jehoiakim after serving Babylon three years (AM 3624/5 - AM 3627), he rebelled, and so Nebuchadnezzar has to come and “besiege” Jerusalem, and in the following months/year, we come to AM 3628, in which Jehoiakim is taken captive (Dan 1:2), deposed and his son Jehoiachin is placed upon the throne in his stead (2 Ki 24:6; 2 Chr 36:8).

AM 3628 – 4 = AM 3624, when Jehoiakim began to serve King Nebuchadnezzar, in which from AM 3624/5 – AM 3627, Jehoiakim, served “three years” (2 Ki 24:1). In this 3rd year (AM 3627) of subjection, Jehoiakim decides to no longer be subject to Nebuchadnezzar, and so rebels (Dan 1:1), and in the 4th year of being subject, or the 11th year of his Judaic reign (AM 3628), he is taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar (Dan 1:2) and eventually dies (2 Ki 24:6).
