How long can plants live without the sun? Not millions of years. The plants could not have waited millions of years for the sun to be created.

Ops, I forgot to answer you last time.

Plants and trees not necessarily need the son for their growth, GOD already created light on the first day.

Genesis 1.3-5
3.Then GOD said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

4.And GOD saw that the light was good, and GOD separated the light from the darkness.

5.And GOD called the light day, and the darkness He called night. *And there was evening and there was morning, **one day.

My point is, torpedo gap theology that is based on the need for dinosaur space is like taking candy from a babe. But refuting the existence of a gap between vs 1-2 betokens unworthy scholarship. There is a gap and it need not have been very long at all. God does not create things void and waste as taught by Isaiah. And each time tohu n bohu is used in the Hebrew text it always refers to a judgement upon the earth. The judgement was against the dominion of the evil one resulting in the first worldwide flood that left earth submerged. Now, if you don’t want to believe that, then fine. But save me the refutations aimed at old earthers.

You just have a variation of the same thing as Chalmers. Or you just have a partial version. Science no longer supports old earth. Moses would have told us if there was another version--Moses told us the only version.

It’s not what was taught by Messianic believers during the same era.

There were Scriptural geologists who rejected both evolution and deep time (millions and millions of years). But even Spurgeon believed in deep time and the leading British geologists at Oxford and Cambridge taught deep time so that the scientific debate was won by the fact that the opposition died of old age and they were not replaced. The challenge to deep time was taken up scientifically by Morris and Whitcomb about 1961 and now is cutting edge. Noah's Flood 4300 years ago accounts for the current surface of the earth. Old earth science has been proven wrong in too many areas and evolution has been shown to scientific gibberish.
