I guess the better question is what is anyone doing to prepare for the possibility?

Good news today is they will issue stimulus checks for those on SS that do not make enough to file a return. My Dad, 94, & Sister, who cares for him, both fall in that category, so I am grateful for that. My Dad made some high powered money in his day, but has been on SS for years, & this is what he gets?! Not enough to file a return? Goes to show if you don’t have some kind of pension lined up, or are very well set, SS will barely get you by.

Considering the last few years politically, I’m not real sure I want it to be the same!
But to answer the question, NO!!!

Psalm 37:25 , time to see if God be true!

[Psa 37:25 ESV] 25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.

[Rom 3:10 ESV] 10 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;

I am very hesitant to apply old testament to this church-age dispensation.

The Republicans should shut up about a snap-back of the economy whenever the lockdown is lifted. Yesterday Gov. DeWine of Ohio said that Ohio may stay on lockdown until Memorial Day.

You cannot shut down almost the entire country for a couple of months, pass around increasingly worthless paper money like crazy and expect things to just go back to normal. A lot of businesses are gone for good now.

Do we honestly see this as being worst then Great Depression or WW 2, that lasted 4 entire years?

Think that the principles apply in both testaments!

I took my GlaxoSmithKline pension early at 60 . I will take ssecure at 64. Then my hospital pension at 66. Wife will take hers at 67. I worked out the numbers and I have to live till 78 for taking social secure to make more money. Just not worth it to me. We will make more off pensions than we did working. Plus I have to eventually start selling our IRAs which have been invested for decades. Both of us also have big term life insurance policies. Me till 80. Hers till 70
She inheritated a lot from her dad. Me, I may inherit a lot, that all depends what happens to my mid 80's parents.

The only , ONLY thing you can really count on for the present/future is:
1 God the Father
2 God the Son and
3 God the Holy Spirit!!!
I have a fair estate, but the value is only as good as the general acceptance of dollars, and in the event of the wrong decisions by a few in power, none of it will be worth the paper representing it.
Dollars, yen, pesos, marks et al, and even silver/gold etc, can/will become worthless in the future of any Godless nation.

This statement sets my mind whirling with questions. My limit is set at one.

In the history of man, has there ever been or is there now any nation that has been or is now in a Godless state?

How soon will civil service retirement checks begin to bounce?

Civil service retirement checks? You shouldn't be getting those. Those are evil.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 NLT
Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

Nazi Germany, worshiped demonic leader!

Thanks, you made my point.

History makes the prediction invalid.

We're taking a little hit, but we'll be OK.

Likewise here. Seeing these businesses and malls around here locked-down is very concerning. No rent or lease payments coming in, bankruptcies can't be far behind. I don't see this economy being restored to what was "normal" any time soon. Trying times indeed!!

No state is 100% following demonic doctrines as long as a few Christians live there. God took out Abraham's relative Lot and his family before destroying the cities on the plain.
The destruction is reserved for the wicked.
Proverbs 3:33
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
