My wife wears pants. I've tried to imagine pants that are "long, loose and flowing," and in my mind they look like a dress. I gave it some real thought, and no matter how you cut them, pants that look like pants cannot be described as "flowing." Maybe someone can point me to a pic on the web of pants that look like pants that I might describe as "flowing."
Definition of pants: An outer garment exending from the waist to the knees or ankles and divided into separate coverings for the legs.
I have some pants (they have been called various other names over the years) but when worn they look like a skirt, but they are divided into separate coverings for the legs. They are long, lose and flowing.
Further my dictionary's definition of apparel:
clothing, garments; attire: anything that clothes or adorns.
I don't see any reason for anyone to take the challenge.
The post was started in fun about men's apparel, but some seem to have taken it very seriously and then turned it into what women should wear.
If a woman wants to wear a dress, then wear a dress. If she wants to wear pants, then wear pants. The Bible tells us to dress modestly and not wear men's clothing. I guarantee that my husband would not wear the pants that I wear.
Nor would I ever wear his pants.
Lighten up folks and have some fun.
I'm still looking for Veggie Tale ties that clip on.
Furthermore, I like for our pastor to dress well and look nice and I know that members of his congregation have given him money to buy expensive suits.
