Well I made a mistake then and should never have left the house but stood my ground. Regardless the text does not say I cannot remarry.

The text says you cannot get divorced so of course it won't speak to you getting remarried. But you KNOW there are other verses in the Bible that speak to remarriage - and that it is wrong for a believer.

I need a game plan as I am about to get quizzed. I'd say leading the family in devotional time is very important. Having family game nights and activities. Encouraging the children, and also limiting what they watch and play. There is far more to it.
I would start by taking another look at "the way of the master"
11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

I would say....commiting ADULTERY would not be leading any family, unless it was leading them to Hell.


9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

You have been commanded by the Master to hold fast to your wife. You have hardned your heart against the Master commands and your wife by divorcing her with no Biblical grounds and now you are continuing to sin by seeking to commit adultery with another woman.

Not true. I listen to JonC and Yeshua.
JonC is one of the kindest, most diplomatic posters on BB. He rarely says anything bluntly or controversial. Yeshua....posts far and wide but not particularly deep. You listen to them because they are non-threatening.

However, you consistently ignore the advice of experienced pastors, deacons, and others. In this thread you've blown off the advice of Revmitchell, a pastor, and Annsi, a pastor's wife. Elsewhere, you've rejected the advice of TCassidy, a pastor and John of Japan, a missionary, who are two of the most Bible knowledgeable people on this board. (I know there are others with wisdom you reject that I'm overlooking as well.)

It's established fact that you DO NOT LISTEN to hard truths. You have "itchy ears."

And cherry pick the view that agrees with you so you can continue living in sin. The Bible is clear on this issue, there is only one reason for divorce and by your own admission that was not a factor. Matt 9 makes it clear that to remarry after divorce is to commit adultry. Just because you find some liberal scholar to twist that text around will not change that fact.

I honestly am beginning to wonder if this is a time for Matthew 18. I know if Evan was in our church, we would be going through this process right now. :(
