How unbiblical is the following. "We are gods" by Creflo Dollar

I have a very dear and close friend who believes this stuff. Can you please post scriptures that I would use to prove to him that we are not little God's as Copeland, Price, Dollar and many other prosperity teachers say. However, if you feel this is correct then please post scripture that prove that it is correct. Thanks Tali :wavey:

We are not gods, but we are God's; ie. his sons and his servants. That is good enough for me!
Romans 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."
Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Not to defend this heretic in any way, but he has a point that we ought not be walking around talking about how we are a bunch of sinners who are going to keep on sinning because that is all we can do.
Romans 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."
And I will repeat 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."

So to answer the original question "How unbiblical is the following: We are gods"? It is no more unbiblical than: Christians are just a bunch of sinners who are still in bondage to sin.

I John 4:3-4 "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world"
Note that John did not say "every mouth". Does your spirit confess that Jesus freed you from the power of the wicked one? Or, does your spirit say that you are still in bondage to the flesh and to sin?

Jesus came to do something in the flesh for us and TO us.

Romans 8:3-4 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

The key is Dollar's misquote "...God says you are the righteousness of God..."

No, we aren't We have CHRIST'S righteousness imputed to us. Our righteousness is as filthy rags God declares us righteous because he sees Christ's righteusness. It is Chist's righteousness which God credits to our account.

When we stand before the great Judge, my plea will be, "I come on the merits of Jesus." Not our righteousness, but his, and his blood.
