In response to the video I posted where this sister said we should cut off all calvinists, I felt from the lord to make this video preaching, only 10 minutes... I would appreciate you to watch and let me know what you think.

So far, God is using it to reach to those who were hurt by many who started rejecting calvanists on Youtube... check it out please. :1_grouphug:

First of all, you might want to spell Calvinism correctly.

I really don't get what you are trying to say in the video -- you seem to wander all over. If you want to argue point by point, fine. Go to it. But I would be very careful in calling those who are "Calvinistic" in their doctrine to be false prophets.

Also, you mention that there are "nut jobs" out there. Just wondering who you would put into that category? Francis Schaeffer, John MacArthur, RC Sproul? Again, I would be very careful in doing this unless you have specific individuals in mind.

Lastly, I would encourage you to actually read some historic Christian writings before you start trying to refut them -- The London Confession of Faith (Baptist), The Heidelburg Confession (Reformed), or the Westminster Confession (Anglican, Presbyterian). I didnt say that.... what I said is that it is wrong to simply label all calvanists false prophets and not of God, that we shouldnt call them that, because there are nut jobs in Baptist Churches who are false prophets and for us to simply assume that all calvinists are false prophets and not true Christians that is wrong...

if you watch the entire video, its not an attack against calvanist... its actually stating the opposite... please view completely and thank you for the feedback..

This video, for you to understand best, is a response to a sister in Christ who says, we SHOULD cut off all Calvanists and stop communicating all together. I dont agree with that.

You can ignore what FriendofSpurgeon has said. He seems to have not paid attention to what you actually said.

Also don't pay attention to his suggestion to read more humanistic writings (ie - the history of the Calvinism vs Arminian debate). The only "Christian writings" you need to pay attention to are the ones in the Bible.

It is so strange to me how universal amoung Calvinists their appeal to non-scripture writings as authoritative is. Nearly every Calvinist I've ever encountered tells me to read extra-Biblical writings - especially the history of the debate.

It has been beaten to death on this board. There is a truth of God's sovreignty and grace, and then there is an element of the free will of man within what God allows. I do not understand completely the relationship, and guess what, neither does anyone else on this board.

My mistake and sorry Orlando. There was a poster named JSM17 that came in the middle of the thread and said Cavinists are not Christian. I had it in my mind he or she started it. A troll is a person who posts for no other purpose that to start a heated argument. Generally, they will make a few posts then you never see them again.

The topic of this thread isn't principally Calvinism vs Arminianism. It is about how believers should treat one another, and specifically if doctrinal disagreements (such as the one Calvinists and Arminians have) constitute grounds for breaking off fellowship with another believer.

Tali -- I understand & appreciate your intent, just didn't think that it hit the mark (to be kind). Somehow saying that "it is wrong to label all Calvinists as false prophets and not of God" and "for us to simply assume that all Calvinists are false prophets and not true Christians that is wrong" is hardly a response and call for unity.
