They should stop the sale of alcoholic beverages at professional sports games. But then some people only attend for the alcoholic beverages.

Ken you are right about the security. HOwever the foul you are dead wrong about. I watch the closeup of the foul and Artest hits him in the back of the head with either a forearm or the palm of his hand hard to tell but you can see him just shoving Ben Wallace without regard to blocking the ball. I will put Ben Wallace character on the court up against Artest any day of the weak. I have watched him play for two years now and he takes alot of beating but never retaliates. On the other hand your artest who is a dirty player and has not only been in trouble for busting monitors not too long ago, but has been in many brawls. You have to see the foul from the sideline or the back of Ben wallace. It was dirty and flagrent. Anyways, agree that the fans were at fault but no more then the idiots who ran into the crowd. Another pt, been to games in Indiana, NewYork, Cleveland and Chicago. Guess what they all have hecklers behind the benches. None like at LA though. It is a hobby there. However it seems players have been able to restrain themselves from running into the crowd. I would have more respect for artest if he would have went after Ben with the ethusiasim that he went after the fan with. But I think that just shows what type of person he is. If you can show me where Ben has been in trouble in the NBA before I will change my opinion but I still think the villian is artest. He is a coward and dirty player. But, again that is just my opinion from watching him play.

Heard Jackson and artest got 30 games, Oneal 20 and Ben 5. NOt enough as far as I am concerned. Also the fan hit on the court had recorded 93 calls from lawyers by noon the next day. The players will be paying for sometime.

</font>[/QUOTE]Yeah I usually don't go down there myself. However this could happen in any city and has. Most of the fans are not Detroit. They can't afford the tickets. And if any players are dumb enough to run into the stands then it will happen again, rather in Indiana or Detroit.
Not a good video of the foul either. Fox sports was showing it from another angle and you can see artest throw both his arms to just push Ben, well one landed in the back of his head.

I'll put Tim Duncan of my San Antonio Spurs up against Wallace or Artest any time when it comes to character. [IMG]

Oh, please. Tim would not have shoved Artest in the throat. And the San Antonio Spurs are the classiest organization in the league. If all the other teams were the same as San Antonio, the NBA would have a much, much better reputation. The Spurs win much more than they lose and they do it with class.

If he would have gotten thumped in the back of the head he may have. Ken I am saying Ben over reacted but that is not in character for him. He is a quite hard player and says very little to anyone or the refs. Watch him and see if I tell the truth. Enough for me Ken. I see we both have a passion for sports.
