Does anybody believe Hulk Hogan was telling the truth when he said he was a christian? I was pretty convinced because he described the whole messege and meaning in his Book. He also clambes to be a baptist and i think that could be true because he stood up for what was right in pro wrestling even if it ment his carrier.

you should read "Hollywood Hulk hogan" this is his biograghy and i found the first chapters to be very interesting when he told of his converson. I do warn there is quite a bit of profanity butitf u look passed it the book becomes very interesting about info on the life of some one famous as well as a struggling christian

Gorgeous George was a professional wrestler in the 50's and 60's. After he was saved he quit wrestling and went to Bible school and then into evangelism. George lives in York S.C. and I don't believe travels much any more.

don warns in his post above

"I do warn there is quiet a bit of profanity but if u look passed it . . ."

If the "Hulk-ster" is a Born Again Believer---why the profanity in the book???

How can a person simply "overlook" profanity??? Sorta like a motorist "overlooking" the train's horn at the RR crossing!!!

Your buddy,
Blackbird

I knew it was Terry something. As a young teenager he used to be very over weight. I think I remember him saying he went to a sheriff's boys and girls camp one summer and learned about weight lifting and thats when he lost a lot of weight.

Im replying to blackbirds messege about profanity in the hulksters book. What he said took my words out of context as you can clearly see i stated that if you look passed the profanity in the book it is interesting to see the life of a struggling christian in that setting. what blackbird said was taken out of context for a diferent meaning to prove his point. my answer is self explanitory, Hulk hogan as i said earlyer is a struggling christian with out any christian influence to help him along.
An answer to a poster who talked of hogans experience at a ffs camp. If you are reffering to a camp for children who break the law it is just a rumor(im not accusing u of saying thats what it is) he went to a christian camp with his baptist church (invited by a friend) and thats where he became a believer and i have more trust in what he says because he restates exactly what a christian should do to become a believer and he states it as if her were evangelising. Later in his book he goes around to childrens hospitals and evangelises to dieing children and their familys.
I agree with some other posters about christians and profane language and to answer that there are maney christians who do not see a problems with cussing just like a contriversal topic of gambling and drinking. so you cant base that on if he is a christian or not.

P.S. Hulkster = Terry bollea

Don just cus a person says he's a christian doesn't mean he nessecarily is. We can only go by the fruits of a persons life. He may well be a Christian, thats not for me to judge, but profanity should not be condoned by any christians. Just because a persons struggling doesn't mean we should condone sin.

One guy said to me once... *well I'm a catholic*....I was like..*So? ....So was Al Capone!*

To show how the unsaved world can view our board, in the middle of the night someone tried to join the board pretending to be Hulk Hogan and claiming to be a Baptist. The AIM name they gave and the Bible verse gave them away. Austin 3:16 is not in the Bible. I won't talk about the AIM name.

Yes, both Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea) and "Gorgeous" George Grant are Christians.

That is true, but going by the fruits of a person's life is more often used by Christians to point the "nonbeliever" finger of unrighteousness at someone.

We should use caution when looking at produced fruit. If a person professes to have a relationship with the Lord, and we see produced fruit, then that person is likely a Christian. OTOH, if a person professes to have a relationship with the Lord, and we do not see produced fruit, it does not automatically mean that the person is not a Christian. GW Bush and Jimmy Carter are both Christians, but we often don't like the fruit they've produced.
