This point is a matter of perspective in Revelation

Yea. This is NOT 'thousands of years and still waiting'.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show unto his servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John;,,,,,,, Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand. Rev 1: 1, 3

I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown. Rev 3:11

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time. Rev 12: 12

And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.,,,,,,,,,, And he saith unto me, Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand.,,,,,,,, Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.,,,,,,,,,,,,,, He who testifieth these things saith, Yea: I come quickly. Amen: come, Lord Jesus. Rev 22:7,10,12,20

So the thousand years are over?

What are we doing?

Luke Chapter 23

43

And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

2nd Corinthians 5

8

we are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
And the lost?

Sometimes a discussion goes nowhere. It becomes a bedlam of people stubbornly expressing their thoughts and pitting them against other thoughts. Some do it seriously, others do it maliciously.

I enjoy talking to ky even though he will eventually get tired of explaining what he believes. Most of my trouble seems to be that I have forgotten what he has already explained by the time he is willing to engage with me again. So I assume he is tired of repeating himself. But there are too many variations of any belief to actually understand anyone person without extensive conversation. And then there is the difficulty of getting the answers that you are asking for. It seems to be difficult around here to answer questions. I don’t deny having the same fault.

kyredneck is okay. He declares what he thinks and people respond to it.

There are very few real discussions going on here. Repeating an opinion over and over again is the common tactic. Theological sore points spin in fruitless circles, going nowhere. There is mostly the expression of enigmatic dogma, scripture quoting, and occasionally some obvious impiety and heresy. I even see hateful hostility toward God spewed forth from a particular person.

I would like to see edification, spiritual growth, efforts at unity, brotherly love, accumulation of blessings, and exuberant praise to God. Hopefully, these qualities will take root here.

You've a different notion of 'physical' than I do. To me 'physical' means solid material, has mass, weight, and takes up space. How does something like that penetrate through the casket & vault & 6' of earth to return to the 'physical' realm? This is not a ridiculous, unrealistic zombie movie we're discussing.

And you still haven't answered the question, can Christ’s kingdom be seen with the eye and touched with the hand? Is it of this world?
After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples and said, "Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have," explicitly stating he was not a ghost, as recorded in Luke 24:39. To prove his physical resurrection, he showed them his wounds and ate fish in their presence.

So the thousand years are over?

<sigh> My mistake. I'll rephrase, just for you:

These DO NOT mean a very, very long time to wait.

I understand that you believe that this was all a few years after the words were given to John. So if the thousand year reign started 2,000 years ago, what have we been doing for the last thousand years?

I answered that, I thought. Are these not what you people have dubbed 'the lost'?

The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection.
Effectively, lost soul sleep?

Just come right out and say it. I don’t know what you are thinking.
You are sending me in circles. It is what you believe that o am trying to figure out.
