Hunt , Lee and Grudem

Well, as a slightly undereducated person, I found that Grudem had difficulties explaining his logic in terms that were logical. He did really well at explaining his theology when it did not need to be logical.

I thought Treasure Island was pretty cool.

Grudem is brilliant and he argues his point. If you're educated, read his arguments and judge them. If you aren't, then find someone you respect and believe what he tells you.

I get very bored with authors who don't believe something. "Mild mannered men speaking to mild mannered men, encouraging them to be more mild mannered." I'd rather read a Calvinist claiming that I'm going to Hell than a wimp who says "both sides are true and the truth lies somewhere in between :love2: "

And I rather see a genius like Grudem running some translation through the disposal than someone who claims...well, I won't get into that.

I categorize the ESV as an older English version because of the English it uses , not its relatively recent release date . It's English is dated and can be compared wth the language of the NKJ and NASU . Of course I prefer the ESV to the other two . And as I have said , I look forward to a revision of the ESV . I think it will be a pleasant improvement over the current edition .

The NRSV is a more careful translation and more contemporary in language than the ESV by a slight margin . The ESV was a rush job specifically for the reason I stated earlier .

I look forward to updates with respect to the NKJ and the NASU .
