When did he say that?

"I greet and thank cordially all of you, dear friends belonging to other religious traditions; firstly the Muslims, who worship the one living and merciful God, and call upon Him in prayer. I really appreciate your presence, and in it I see a tangible sign of the wish to grow in recipricol trust and in cooperation for the common good of humanity."

You can google it and find it from several Catholic sources. It is not made up. http://en.radiovaticana.va/storico/2013/03/20/pope_francis_discourse_to_representatives_of_the_churches%2C_ecclesia/en1-675184

Yes, I am judgmental on issues where someone is supposedly a Christian is leading millions astray.

Have you not spoken against every church in your state? I do remember some pretty strong words against them. We ALL are judgmental - and that is not wrong.

No....not every church. Merely the ones in my community.....and thats because i have gone to them and spoken with them face to face. The only ones i havent been to are the RC and Anglican ones. BTW my brother who was a Baptist Pastor has had no luck in this community either. Whats that tell you?

Please tell me you didn't leave yourself that open....

Let me take a crack at it, though:

1. You live in Ichabod, NJ. (Just south of Ichabod, NY)

~or~

2. Both of you are stubborn, pigheaded Welshmen.

I apologize in advance if you are offended. It is no insult for a Welshman to be either stubborn or pigheaded. My father's Davis and Williams lines will attest to that.

Back to the OP. I think the Pope missed a golden opportunity to address the sin-sickness ailing our land.
  • What kindness receives refugees from war torn lands but rips babies from their mother's womb so we can sell their parts?
  • What kindness is shown in filling a belly for a day while the soul goes empty? What kindness is shown when we show stewardship for the creation but a passing acquaintance with the Creator?

So it's OK for you to be judgmental and no one else?

I find it interesting you said this:

Well live and learn. I will go further.....Ive seen churches destroy peoples lives ....principally because they set themselves up as gods own .....when in fact they are merely actors playing rolls instead of preaching the word. Churches can be wonderful when they emulate Christ or they can be very dangerous places when they act as self imposed little gods.

I think that is spot on with the Pope and the Catholic church.

Depends ...do you believe in carnal christians or are you like most Calvinists who hold to Lordship Salvation?

This is the POPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is suppose to know the bible inside and out and is suppose to be the "voice of Peter" and is suppose to be the "Vicar of Christ".

Now what is he REALLY???? Does the word "anti" come to mind??

Thanks....now you have disclosed my last name and residence. As far as Poppa Frank is concerned, i have no idea what his true agenda is....i can speculate, but that is merely a best guess which amounts to an opinion......and you know what opinions are like, right.:wavey:

When I was hungry

Matthew 25:31-46New International Version (NIV)

The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Vs. 33 we learn Jesus is speaking to His sheep. These are born-again believers.

Vs. 34 we learn these on His right, the sheep, the born of God, are receiving their promised inheritance.

But unto the goats, to those who even have done many wonderful works, but have not believed on Jesus Christ...

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt 7:22-23)

Yes, even the goats can look like sheep. We must judge by good works AND sound words that agree with what has been written.
