“We need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”

The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.

I would know by how he treats the poor. Ive also witnessed pastors and clergy endlessly quote scripture but their actions prove that they are anything but Christians. By their fruit you will know them.

Can't he preach the gospel WHILE feeding the poor?

Just read this entire thread. EW&F has basically dodged and evaded every direct question put to him about the pope.

He feeds a whole lot more people than you do.
Our church fed 21 families last week directly though our food bank. We fed another 400 through a cooperative mission on the border (oddly called "Border Missions"). Multiply that by 50,000 or so for the number of Baptist churches in the US and we feed a lot of people.

How many have you fed this week?

Oh yea, this guy reaches out .... and with humility.

True, as he is reaching out to Muslims as being ones who also worship the same God as we do, despite them denying jesus is Lord!

really, he is just another false teacher of a heretical church....

I still like the guy .... and he is responsible for the RC Church. So you may try to dismiss him & the RCC, however I dont.

And you probably just scratched the surface regarding what the RCC does. Regarding how many I fed this week.....are you speaking about me personally or my church?

"It is no wonder--Satan is become an angel of light."

True believers have always regarded the papacy as anti-Christ. They regard the papacy as a sign redemption draws neigh.

The Holy See is still a promulgation of a Roman Emperor called Contantine the Great in the fourth century. This unholy union of church and state still exists. They are the largest group in Christendom. There are many offspring. The daughters of Rome are in the process of going back to their mother. Some call this ecumenism.

Apostasy reformed is still reformed apostasy. How does one reform apostasy?

This situation cannot be "all of the above are right". If Rome is right, everyone else is usurping. If Rome is wrong, she is the biggest religious fraud to date.

"Will the Lord find The Faith when He returns?

"Beware of wolves dressed like sheep"--they are everywhere.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

you come to New Jersey....I will show you a couple of signs:tear:

besides, I regard anyone who is an atheist and/or a non christian as an anti Christ. Stupid but innocent Catholics (in the laity) I consider blind......generally w/o grace and without any strong moral compass.

But what about all these false non- catholic churches that prey on them? Where is your words about them? So I promise that if you come out to NJ, I will show you enough that you hold your nose. Ya see, the RCC is an obvious mark....you can P & moan all day about their monumental sins....a blind man could see that! But how bout the miscreants in your own churches. Look, take care of those scum of the earth first, then you can throw all those stones at the Catholics.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

And Jesus said “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone ”

I will say that sadly there are a lot of stones being thrown on this thread...maybe everyone here is without sin.

I see a lot of Pope bashing here but no thread in the Prayer Requests forum suggesting prayer for a man who has more influence over people than anyone here.

I pray the Holy Spirit guides him into all truth so that he can lead the billion plus Catholics to that truth.

Doctrine...... different & erroneous doctrine. Let me ask you, are there any Saved Catholics or are they all going to hell?

I really don't know and that is Gods business... But I've done a through study of the Popes and let me put it this way... The blood on their hands of the innocent is up to the horses bridle... That being said I hope and pray this Pope is different... Brother Glen

I believe preachinjesus called for prayer.

Yes, and what greater opportunity than a tour of the United States? Sadly, no gospel was given by him.

I would support that statement brother:thumbs:

I sometimes wonder how much blood is on the hands of the Jews for their crucifixion of Christ......or do they get a pass on that!
