I am setting a date

We have all read of those who set a date for the Lord’s return.

The results range from comical to disastrous with the single constant, each has been wrong.

So, I have done my own work. I haven’t consulted star charts or time schemes.

Rather, I have consulted with the one who matters.

The date is this evening. My wife and I hope to enjoy a meal at one of our favorite eateries.

My wife and I will be going to the Blue Onion for our Friday night date. Great food. Mediterranean menu. :)

They serve very good Mexican food.
When we want Mexican food we drive the 2 miles to Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas, Mexico. We like a very nice restaurant called "Angels." Top floor of a corner building with all glass walls. Beautiful views.

If you're talking about Angel's, I've went there many years ago when I was doing mission work in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Used to stay at the Cone Oasis Baptist Encampment near La Feria.

Our youth pastor used to laugh that Christ would return on his wedding day. He was quite the young man and VERY much looking forward to his wedding night. He said that just as they were ready to leave the church on his wedding day, he KNOWS he will hear the trump..... So of course on his wedding day, we HAD to hide a trumpet player behind the curtain....

Back in the day we used to do "rapture exercises."

When young, I would think, "I'm ready, but just wait until after...."

When mid-aged, I would think, "I'm ready, but wait until my kids..."

When ancient, I think, "I'm ready, when ever you are."
