I give up. This life is not a blessing. It's a curse. And God is silent. He doesn't fix or heal. I'm done. I guess God doesn't want me. I'm done.

That's too bad.

You see, God hasn't cursed you. You've cursed yourself. You've made the decision that because life isn't how you want it to be then God must have done this to you and that he owes you a better life to prove he is God.

I have epilepsy. The drugs I take to control it will probably kill me in the end due to the liver toxicities they produce. I've never thought of my life being cursed.

My brother, like you, has Asperger's - along with a host of other problems - being legally blind, hard of hearing, having a severe speech impediment, and an IQ of 70. He loves to go bowling. He's on a team with some very kind and compassionate people. My parents take him. Last week he bowled a 224!! Not bad for someone who is legally blind.

There's a lot of days that his life just flat out sucks and he can get depressed. I know that.

And God isn't going to take his problems away. I know that, too. But he doesn't believe that his life is cursed. He is saved and loves the LORD.

I could list for you scores of people who have a life far worse than yours and God has allowed this to happen for His reasons and they accept that and move on.

I know that people with Asperger's have trouble communicating sometimes, but could you just tell me what is the absolute worst thing about your life right now - what exactly is it that you feel you've been cheated of? I won't judge you.

Go ahead and list "scores of people". It's fruitless.

I have no idea what you are going through. Please know that I am not without my experiences as well, that have made me doubt, question, and rail against God. I promise you that from the day I was born my life has been a challenge. I was born into abuse and as a child saw things children should never see or experience. Nothing has ever been easy and there have been times of when God has appeared silent.

I can only tell you about God based on scripture and my life. I have never given up on God as you have expressed but I have been in situations that have made me feel like God has left me behind. What I can tell you to do is to keep crying out to God. God said Jer_29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Listen you have to trust the God who made you. Job lost everything and he refused to lose hope in God. If God never does another thing for you or for me there are still at least two things still true:

1. God has given us far more than we deserve.

2. We all have a glorious future in eternity with God that makes this life pale in comparison.

I do not fault you for your struggle and doubts. Do not let the enemy use them to defeat you.

Ok. Since you've repeatedly said that nothing we say is good enough, would you mind leaving the board? You're obviously going to give up, so give up. Quit trying to pull us down with you.

Sapper - remember in the Army we NEVER retreat - we advance to the rear, regroup, and then re-attack.

God never gives up on us. Even if we feel like giving up on Him. Bear in mind. Just lean on Him for guidance and support!
