I have a question about the cursor. I will be typing a paragraph and all of a sudden the cursor will jump back in the sentence. I will still be typing a few more letters/words before I realize what happened. Then I have to go back and correct it.

Below is what the paragraph looked like before I fixed it.

I have a question about be typing a fe the cursor. I will be typing a paragraph and all of a sudden the cursor will jump back in the sentence. I will still ( )w more letters

The bold type are the letters/words that got "jumped back" The () is where those bold letters/words should have been.

Does this happen to anyone? Can anything be done?
It drives me nuts - makes me think I live in New Mexico or something.

Happens to me all the time. Are you using one of these "self-correcting" ;$&@/)@:;;-$$) iPads?

It takes me forever to prepare a small post simply because I have to spend so much time checking for goofs like you describe, words that it thinks are better than my choice, and continuously capitalizing a word when I accidently hit the space bar twice in a sentence.

There is much I like, but I'm not sure this "TOUCH" is all it's cracked up to be.

Then again maybe it's just me - !!!!!!:BangHead:

Salty is the palm of your hand or your wrist hitting the touch pad on your laptop as you are typing?

All laptops do that. It's not just you. Mine does it, too.

What's even worse than that is when I've typed something and it just disappears. That's especially frustrating when it's a page or so. But then, you can usually just right click and click on "undo".

Never noticed one way or the other - will try to keep an eye out for that

when I teach a computer applications course, the first thing I tell them: "The 'Undo' button, or CONTROL + Z (the keyboard shortcut for the Undo button), is your FRIEND."

Rev is right; used to have this problem on my own laptop, til I realized the base of my thumb was touching the edge of the touchpad.
